When He binds And takes his own The strongman boasts With spit and foam. No greater feats But those in hope Are thrown by man Despised, disowned. The warriors fray And man alone Before the beast With trembling bones. No hope for him Who only crows A scathing taunt From hallow throne. The land trembles, All pray'rs windblown, The prophets cry, And Abel groans. The boy's approach To combat zone With God beside And his shalom. Hope not in words Though fierce their tone, They crumble on Foundation stone. All armor off, But steel backbone. No sword in hand Just pebble thrown. Now peers the eyes From angels’ home To see the fall Of beast below. Goliath falls The sweet echo Of triumphs past Of Jericho. So bound the man! He overthrown! Remove his head! He now the woe.
A good reminder GOD is victorious no matter how big our battle may be.
